“I read for pleasure and that is the moment I learn the most.” ― Margaret Atwood

Literature is an image of life. We find our feelings, thoughts, sorrows, happiness, resolution to our problems and a way to think better, to live better.

World literature includes of various Novels, Dramas, Poetry, Stories and various other forms. Novel is the most popular one in all. The world cinema also experienced hundreds of movies based on actual novels and dramas extracted from the treasures of world literature; this is usually termed as “Book-to-Movie”. Few to mention here;

Jurassic Park (1993) - Based on the book Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
The Kite Runner (2007) - Based on the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Apollo (1995) - Based on the book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger

These movies were blockbusters; however for the true book lover visuals cannot replace the pleasure of book reading.

Unfortunately in third world countries like us, still people feel good to spend thousands of rupees on pizzas, clothes, electronic gadgets and on other life luxuries but not on purchasing good books. Now a days the even students who secure top positions in schools, colleges and universities limited their selves to curriculum books only.

Parents also consider ‘Reading’ as to study curriculum books. It is difficult to find a home in which parents reserve some area as study room for their kids. This is the reason, why publications of books, newspapers and other reading materials are far less as compare to the population. Books that were used to be published of thousands now printed in hundreds if copies in their first edition.

We have seen in western world, that in different public places, parks, buses, trains even in restaurants and café, people carry books because their initial education system makes them habitual of reading books not only the school ones but the other books of their interests.

If you are interested in reading meaningful books, it is good, if you are not; start today to be a habitual reader. It will surely help you. For myself, I was not much into reading books, however thanks to my boss, who recommended few books to me and encouraged for the same.

In December, 2017 Karachi International Book Fair held in Expo Center, I was surprised to see hundred thousands of book lover all over three halls, it was my first experience to spent money on books, and I have no regrets. It reflects that if people get chance to buy books on discounted prices they will surely buy.

I bought few books and started getting to know the fun, power and the changes it gives to mind and personality. In these days I have learned few things that I wanted to share with others how you can bring this positivity to your daily routine.

•Start buying books of your interests, good if there is some good library in your neighborhood go and have a proper membership.

•As per your convenience, manage to secure some time in a day preferably before going to bed, schedule time with few minutes at initial level than extend it.

•While selecting books never think, will you be able to read and understand?  Just follow your interest and it will not take you to wrong. Go beyond your reading and understanding level.

•Keep the book which you have started reading with yourself, whenever you get free time/breaks; let the book to spend time with you.

•Search and join online groups, blogs, chat rooms, discussion forums which are giving a good opportunity to meet people and discuss their and your experiences. Find some like minded friend in your social circle to share and discuss what your upto.

•Promote extracts of what you are reading and feels interesting on your social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with relevant hashtags. Further you can quote interesting and meaningful lines in your email signatures.

•If any book/literature, not suits to your interest and you are not enjoying reading it, simply leave it and move to other one.

Books are the epicenter of vocabulary, it can lead you to get succeeded in your career, you may find it as a stress reliever too. In short, books always remains with us from school life to universities, however once we get busy in our career oriented lives, the relations with learning and books starts fading.

Depending on your personal interests or as per your career or job industry, analyze your self find the book / literature, not particularly written in English only, you have a huge treasure and heavy weightage of internationally recognized Urdu literature.

From books on investments to motivational, business to fiction, religious to career oriented the choice is yours, time is yours, use it or abuse it!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”

Foster As a matter of fact, Quality Assurance and Management Systems, when performance-driven, do more than meet standards—they drive excellence, foster resilience, and contribute directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. LOVE - BUT UNCONDITIONALY!!

Inspired from a True Love Story 😐 (For maintaining privacy no names cited anywhere in the write-up) “GO AND LOVE SOMEONE EXACTLY AS THEY ARE…!   …and then watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered. Never enter into a romance, partnership or friendship with the intention to change somebody. This mindset only sets you up for a rocky road ahead…” Life has finally taught me and brought me on a conclusion that ‘You cannot make someone love you in the same way you love them’. Before you start loving someone and willing to be loved by them, you should love yourself, firstly. Discover yourself, be yourself and be proud of yourself of what exactly you are. First learn to celebrate your own individuality, your opinion, your thoughts, your expectations from yourself. Be clear what you want, give worth to your time, understand the worth of your precious time before inve
